Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8) Widening

CobbFendley provided construction management and inspection services on the widening of the existing Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8) facility from SH 288 to Wayside Drive in Harris County, Texas. The construction consisted of grading, base, concrete paving, drainage structures, retentions ponds, retaining walls, bridges, multi-level interchanges, complex traffic control, signing, and striping.  CobbFendley’s responsibilities included contract administration, pre-construction meetings and activities, field verification of utility adjustments, project management and coordination, overseeing inspections and testing, conflict resolution, record keeping, and project closeout.
