What are you most excited about in this new leadership position?

I’m excited about the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills within a structured program while learning from experienced mentors. The Emerging Leaders Program will provide me with the chance to refine my abilities in decision-making, communication, and fostering team growth. I’m also eager to collaborate with peers and engage in meaningful leadership discussions that will positively shape both my career and the organization’s future.

How has CobbFendley supported your professional growth and development?

CobbFendley has supported my professional growth by offering a variety of projects that push me to apply and expand my skills. The mentorship from experienced engineers has been invaluable, providing guidance and insights that have helped me develop both technically and professionally. Additionally, the firm fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, offering training opportunities and exposure to diverse projects that enhance my expertise and leadership abilities.

Can you share a bit about your journey at CobbFendley and how you’ve grown in your career?

I started as a Utility Coordination intern during COVID. After I graduated, I was hired full time as the Project Engineer in the SUE group within the Utility Coordination department. I’ve now been with CobbFendley for almost 4 years and I’m close to obtaining my PE!

How has CobbFendley supported your professional growth and development?

My supervisors have always believed in my potential ever since I started. I have had the opportunity to attend the PM training that CobbFendley offers thanks to my Group Lead. I appreciate the guidance and support of CobbFendley’s leadership.

What are you most excited about in this new leadership position?

I’m excited to be able to learn different ways to improve our team. I am also ready to tackle the challenge of higher expectations, which will ultimately make me better within my career.

How has CobbFendley supported your professional growth and development?

By providing tasks to me that might be beyond my job description. Our leadership team pushes us to find out what we are capable of doing and will teach us and provide constructive feedback that makes me better.

Can you share a bit about your journey at CobbFendley and how you’ve grown in your career?

I came to CobbFendley in October 2019 with 2 years of experience in site development and public works, with an interest to do more public works. These 5 years with the CTX Municipal have been of great growth in the technical aspects of the profession and developing leadership skills.

What does leadership mean to you, and how do you approach it in your role?

Leadership to me means putting in your best effort to lead your team and projects by working collectively to present quality products. It means putting our team’s success ahead of anything else.

How has CobbFendley supported your professional growth and development?

I’ve been aided by the chance to work on special projects that have tested my understanding and enabled me to grow and improve my skills. I’ve also had the chance to pass on what I know to others and gain new insights from them through monthly meetings.

What does leadership mean to you, and how do you approach it in your role?

Leadership to me means setting a positive example, listening to and being there for others, and empowering my team to achieve a common goal. I approach leadership by being transparent, communicative, and supportive towards my team members.
