Marking a Milestone: 10 Incredible Years of CobbFendley in Fort Worth, Texas!

This year, CobbFendley proudly celebrates another milestone in Fort Worth. What began as a modest regional presence has grown into a strong and collaborative office supporting clients across Tarrant County and the greater North Texas area. Our Fort Worth office was established to better serve a rapidly expanding region and to provide local support for both our clients and employees living in the Metroplex.

Having a dedicated team based in Fort Worth has allowed us to respond quickly, build meaningful relationships, and deepen our involvement in the community. Over the years, this office has grown into a key hub for innovation, client service, and cross-office collaboration, reflecting CobbFendley’s ongoing commitment to delivering solutions that strengthen the communities we call home.

As part of this celebration, we reached out to our Fort Worth team, both those who have recently joined us and those who have been here since the beginning. We asked them to reflect on their experiences, what makes this office special, and how they’ve seen the team grow over time. Here’s what they had to say:

What are your hopes and aspirations for the office in the next decade?

In the next decade, I hope to see our office double in size and secure more clients.

What makes working at this office unique or special?

Generosity to give back to the community in food drives, back to school supply drives, or adopting angels from the Christmas tree. I also feel that this office is unique in that we collaborate well with each other.

What’s your favorite part of the office environment or culture?

I enjoy our celebrations at the office. Each month come together to celebrate birthdays for that month and on special occasions, we also celebrate PE Week, Survey Week, Engineer Week, ROW week, etc. This gives everyone in the office an opportunity to connect and eat some treats with fellow office staff and catch up with each other.

WOW! Looking back on these past 9 years has brought back fond memories. Many faces have walked through our office doors over the years. As I think about memorable moments, ones that stand out to me are themed office potlucks in our conference room, brown bag lunch uno tournaments, and the milestones that we celebrated together. (Baby showers, engagements, five-and ten-year milestones at CobbFendley) As our office continues to grow, our small potlucks are becoming Office Holiday Parties.

I cannot believe the Fort Worth office has been around for 10 years. Seems like just yesterday I was attending the open house for this office.

It has been exciting to see the growth in this office over the years. I have hopes that it will continue to grow and must expand to a larger facility to accommodate all the new faces. What I like about this group is seeing the younger generation is in so many positions, this will ensure that this company continues to be successful and have a bright future going forward. What I like most about this office, the celebrations (birthdays and anniversaries for each of us). I like getting together with the group, share some snacks and be together for a short time just to stay in touch.

What are your hopes and aspirations for the office in the next decade?

I want the Fort Worth office to continue to grow over the next decade. This builds comradery between all the different departments by learning more about what each department contributes to the growth of this great company.

What makes working at this office unique or special?

Working at the Fort Worth office gives everyone the chance to learn more about individual’s personalities and everyone is always eager to help other departments succeed.

I made the move to our Fort Worth office in 2024, and from the very beginning, I felt right at home. I remember my first week here —several coworkers invited me to lunch, and that simple gesture stuck with me. It perfectly reflected the friendly and genuine folks that make up this office. Of course, no place is perfect—unfortunately, the water cooler talk is often dominated by Dallas sports teams. But I’ve learned to live with it.

Fort Worth currently ranks as the third fastest-growing city in Texas based on number of new residents. As the metroplex continues to expand, I see tremendous potential for our office to grow right alongside it. Over the next decade, I hope that we will continue to grow our teams in our respective departments as well as to introduce new services out of this office.

My hopes and aspirations for the Fort Worth office is to grow bigger with more people and more departments that can serve the greater Fort Worth area with our local expertise.

My favorite part is I know everybody and that everyone is very helpful when assisted is requested😊

What are your hopes and aspirations for the office in the next decade?

My aspiration is to see that Fort Worth office grow to around 100 people. With the growth of the metroplex, our services will be needed even more, and I am confident that we will naturally increase in size. But my hope is that we do not lose the smaller office feel and we keep the culture and atmosphere that has been developed in the office.

What makes working at this office unique or special?

Jets! While they are disruptive during a team’s call, I love that we get to see the F-35’s and variety of other military aircraft operating out of the Joint Reserve Base. Albuquerque has hot air balloons, but we have jets.

What’s your favorite part of the office environment or culture?

I love that the different teams really like to participate and compete in the different activities, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas decorating contests. Friendly competition is great and builds comradery.

Summarizing 14 years at CobbFendley in just a few memories is no easy task. During this time, CobbFendley has been part of my life’s biggest milestones—engagement, marriage, the birth of my son—and even the unexpected moments like car accidents and surgeries. I’ve built friendships that feel like family, shared countless laughs, and celebrated together at holiday parties, baby showers, and team events.

My journey began in a small 800-square-foot project office in Bedford while working on the NTE Segment 1 project along I-820. It was tiny, but mighty! From there, we tackled NTE Segment 3A on IH 35W and numerous utility relocations before planting permanent roots off University Drive in Fort Worth. Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come—from those early days of laying the foundation to the growth we’ve achieved today.

I love working in the Fort Worth CF Office! Everyone here, in our own ROW Department, and the other Departments in this office are so extremely friendly, welcoming, and easy to be around. I truly appreciate the opportunities to be involved with different fun activities CF provides and cannot wait for our team to get started on the Christmas decorating contest again this year!! Hopefully WIN  . . .  again 😊

What are your hopes and aspirations for the office in the next decade?

I would like to see the collaboration continue between the different departments. We have a good repour with the other departments now and would like to see more Fort Worth Office team building.

What makes working at this office unique or special?

I believe that we all appreciate CobbFendley and the way the employees are treated with respect and kindness. This creates the supportive environment that makes us want to go to work. I also appreciate the talent that has been hired which makes us proud of the professionalism and quality of work.

What’s your favorite part of the office environment or culture?

Without a doubt, it is the people that I work with and the management that creates a happy, satisfying and challenging culture.
