Marking a Milestone: 10 Incredible Years of CobbFendley in Montgomery County!

This year, CobbFendley proudly celebrates a decade of serving Montgomery County. What began as a small office in Conroe has grown into a dynamic hub for collaboration, community engagement, and client service. Our office first opened to meet the needs of our growing client base and to better serve employees living in the North Houston area. Establishing a local presence allowed us to respond quickly to clients and become deeply involved in the Montgomery County community.

Over the years, the office expanded to accommodate new departments and team members, even taking on additional space down the hall to fit our growing team. Recently, the decision to move to a new office in The Woodlands gave us the opportunity to create a more connected workspace, bringing everyone together under one roof and strengthening collaboration across disciplines.

According to Leanna Fregia, “The Woodlands office is surrounded by trees, and with the advantage of large windows, we’re able to see the birds and squirrels playing outside. We also have a smaller, close-knit office where people from different departments work together and gain new perspectives on the capabilities CobbFendley offers to our clients.”

The new office reflects that same sense of openness and connection. As our team continues to grow, we remain focused on maintaining the friendly, family-oriented culture that makes this location so special. “The office has grown both in the number of people working here and in the variety of departments represented,” Leanna adds. “That’s really enhanced collaboration and teamwork.”

Traditions play a big role in shaping our culture. Jennifer Steen highlights one of her favorite traditions:

“Our annual Thanksgiving lunch is a wonderful tradition. We host guests from CF headquarters and come up with one random and fun question each year to get to know each other better. Last year’s question was ‘What would you do if you won the lottery?’ It was very entertaining to hear all the answers!”

Beyond these gatherings, our team makes a conscious effort to stay connected through small but meaningful moments. A standing monthly group lunch brings together whoever is in the office that day to share updates, both personal and professional.

And in true Woodlands fashion, tiny toy squirrels, our unofficial mascots, can be found hiding around the office. You never know where one might appear next!

Over the past decade, CobbFendley has established a strong presence in Montgomery County by delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects for public sector clients. Our work includes roadway widening, reconstruction, grade separation, drainage improvements, and utility coordination. These efforts have supported entities such as Montgomery County, the City of Conroe, and various municipal utility districts.

Notable projects include the detailed design and successful completion of roadway improvements for Keenan Cutoff Road at FM 2854, along with right-of-way mapping revisions and surveying for FM 2854, FM 149, and SH 105. Our team has also provided power delivery, survey and mapping, and SUE services for both county and city projects, showcasing our ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary assignments from concept through construction.

Our client base throughout Montgomery County reflects our versatility and commitment to public infrastructure. We’ve built lasting partnerships with the Montgomery County, the City of Conroe, and local utility districts such as Spring Creek Utility District and Southern Montgomery County MUD. Through these collaborations, CobbFendley has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget, earning recognition for our responsiveness, technical expertise, and clear communication. Our integrated approach and deep local knowledge allow us to meet the unique challenges of each project while creating value-driven solutions for the communities we serve.

For many, the impact of working in The Woodlands office extends far beyond the workday.

“CobbFendley has had a significant impact on my family time,” says Jennifer Steen. “Most nights I’m home in time to cook dinner! Before working at CobbFendley, I missed many family meals or would arrive just in time to eat. I really appreciate being able to spend more quality family time on a daily basis.”

That balance between professional excellence and personal well-being has been a cornerstone of our culture for the past 10 years.

As we celebrate this milestone, our team is excited about the next decade. With new space, new opportunities for collaboration, and a strong foundation built on relationships, we look forward to continuing our mission of delivering innovative solutions for our clients and community. Our Woodlands team has grown not only in size but in spirit, fostering an environment where ideas thrive and teamwork drives success. Looking ahead, we’re eager to take on new projects, strengthen partnerships, and keep building on the momentum we’ve created. If we had to pick one song that represents the spirit of our office, Leanna has the perfect choice: “Walking on Sunshine.”

Here’s to 10 years in Montgomery County and to our bright future ahead in The Woodlands.
