Priya Mistry: 2025 TSPE Preston Chapter Engineer of the Year
Priya Mistry, CobbFendley Associate and Municipal Project Manager has been recognized as the TSPE Preston Chapter 2025 Engineer of the Year, adding to her distinguished achievements, including being named the NSPE Preston Trail Chapter 2019 Young Engineer of the Year.

What advice would you give to engineers looking to get more involved in professional organizations?
Don’t settle for the first organization you see or do what everyone else is doing. It’s ok to attend a meeting or two before deciding whether or not it’s the right fit. When you take the time to find an organization that fits your personality and who you are, you are more likely to get engaged and flourish professionally and personally.
Can you share a memorable experience or achievement from your participation in an industry organization?
Attending Mathcounts is always a great experience! Seeing how excited, bright, and dedicated these young kids are with math is truly remarkable. If you have not had the opportunity to attend, I highly recommend it – especially the Countdown Round.

Kensley Cobb: 2025 TSPE Greater Houston Chapter Young Engineer of the Year
Kensley Cobb, CobbFendley Associate and Utility Design Project Manager, has been honored as the 2025 Young Engineer of the Year by the TSPE Greater Houston Chapter. Kensley actively contributes to numerous industry organizations and initiatives, demonstrating a strong commitment to engineering excellence and community engagement.

Can you share a memorable experience or achievement from your participation in an industry organization?
I began volunteering for TSPE’s MATHCOUNTS program in 2017, even before I became a member. Over the years, this experience has provided me with a meaningful way to give back to the community and inspire the next generation of engineers! I’ve also had the chance to meet many wonderful people and build lasting connections.
How has networking through these organizations benefited you personally or professionally?
It took me a few years to realize just how small our industry really is. Through TSPE, I’ve had the opportunity to meet several engineers, whom I later collaborated with on various projects. These connections have been invaluable, both personally and professionally, as they’ve allowed me to build strong working relationships.
