Our Work
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department On-Call Surveying Services
CobbFendley has been providing on-call survey services for Texas Parks and Wildlife since August 2016. Survey work on these projects supports the design of new facilities within a Capital Improvement Plan. Specific projects have included:
Possum Kingdom Lake Fish Hatchery Renovations.
Cross sections as well as details of the existing drainage structures/valves were obtained for 17 of the existing fish hatchery harvest basins. Most of the harvest basins were in use and full of water at the time of survey, which required the use of boats by the field crews to gain access to the necessary areas. Additional topographic survey data was also collected for an approximately four-acre site adjacent to the existing harvest basin area for the design of a future expansion area.
Ray Roberts Lake State Park Hiking Trail and Campground Area.
Topographic survey services required for the rehabilitation of the 10-mile Greenbelt Corridor trail that had been damaged due to flooding. All drainage structures and bridges crossing the trail were located and topographic cross sections were obtained as necessary for drainage design. Additional topographic survey data was obtained within the Isle Du Bois campground area as necessary for the repair of erosion damage along the shore line of Ray Roberts Lake.
