Our Work
Southwest Transmission Project
The proposed Southwest Transmission Project spans 515 miles across New Mexico and Arizona, and will deliver wind energy generated in New Mexico to population centers in Arizona and California. Once completed, two 500 kV transmission lines will provide 3,000 MW of transfer capacity to western markets. SunZia selected CobbFendley to conduct title ownership research, develop a line list, draft and execute right-of-entry agreements, and provide acquisition services for the 300 parcels required by the project. Right-of-way staff developed customized right-of-way/right-of-entry software specifically for this project to provide SunZia project managers with real-time information on the project’s progress. Title ownership research and the line list were completed in September 2016, and acquisition services are underway with an estimated completion date of early 2018.
