Sloan Creek Lift Station and Force Main
CobbFendley is providing engineering design services to the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) for the construction of a 10 MGD lift station and 15,000 linear feet of 24-inch force main. The project provides a joint solution to providing sewer service to developing areas of the City of Allen and the Town of Fairview. The solution prevents costly upgrades to the two cities’ existing lift stations and force mains; prevents additional flow from being put into a NTMWD system that is already at capacity; and relieves service demand on existing Fairview and NTMWD systems. The lift station design includes the analysis and design of the lift station storage capacity, pump performance, pump operations with initial low flows, odor control, and all associated electrical, controls, SCADA, structural, and architectural engineering required for the final design. The force main design includes the analysis of the force main alignment, the force main capacity, and location of A/V valves and odor control. The project includes SUE, survey, ROW document preparation, bid phase services, and limited construction phase services.
