Our Work
Legacy Drive – Rockhill Parkway to US 380
CobbFendley performed engineering services for this transportation project, which included design of the final segment of the six-lane Legacy Drive arterial corridor in Frisco, Texas. The overall design encompasses survey, sewer drainage, road, signalization, and illumination design. The new roadway segment will connect the existing Legacy Drive south of Rockhill Parkway to US 380 with an ultimate build-out of a divided six-lane boulevard with a 20-foot median. The roadway will be originally designed for a four-lane divided boulevard with sufficient median space to expand into the roadway median to accommodate a six-lane arterial. Included in the design process is the signalization design of the proposed new intersection of Legacy Drive and US 380. Temporary and permanent traffic control plans will be incorporated in the design, with radar and video vehicle detection and pedestrian crosswalks included. Based on future conditions, the intersection is anticipated to become a diamond interchange with a flyover bridge (US 380 over Legacy Drive). Additional traffic engineering design includes roadway illumination of the new segment using the City’s latest lighting standards.
