Our Work
Grand Parkway (SH 99) Segments F1, F2, and G
Grand Parkway, or State Highway 99, is a $1.04 billion public-private partnership to design-build-maintain-operate 37 miles of roadway north of Houston. As the Right-of-Way consultant, CobbFendley was responsible for the acquisition of 280 parcels and easements. CobbFendley also provided Utility Coordination, Utility Design, and Subsurface Utility Engineering for these segments of Grand Parkway. Utility coordination and design services included researching and identifying conflicts with the proposed roadway, preparing a utility corridor conceptual plan, conducting coordination meetings, preparing and reviewing utility agreements, providing constructability reviews for each relocation design, designing relocation plans for some utilities, and coordinating utility relocation schedules with roadway construction schedule.
Our staff worked closely with the 65 utility companies impacted by this project and was able to reduce the number of conflicts on the project from 650 conflicts to 134 relocations. CobbFendley was in continual communication and coordination with the Developer, Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders, and TxDOT throughout the right-of-way process. CobbFendley met all of the milestone goals put in place by the Developer and TxDOT and the project was completed ahead of schedule.
