Our Work
Coit Road Roadway Design
CobbFendley is currently designing 10,500 linear feet of four-lane divided (ultimately six-lane divided) major arterial roadway from East 1st Street to Frontier Parkway. The existing roadway consists of a two-lane, undivided, asphalt, rural section with open drainage. The project will replace the existing 24-foot wide roadway section with two, 25-foot-wide reinforced concrete pavement sections, including six-inch integral concrete curbs, right-turn deceleration lanes, left-turn lanes, and underground storm drainage system. The design will incorporate provisions to add future fifth and sixth lanes in the center median. A geotechnical subconsultant will be evaluating the local soils and providing a pavement design suitable for the local soil conditions. A landscape subconsultant will be providing landscape and irrigation plans to provide an attractive streetscape, while protecting the integrity of the new pavement section. Included in the construction plans are paving plan and profiles, cross sections, driveway profiles, sidewalk plans, drainage plan, profiles and calculations, traffic signage and marking plans, traffic signal plans, streetscape plans, and construction phasing plans.
